Is my photo uploaded?+
No. It's read straight off your device, cropped and covered on a canvas in your browser, and saved back to you. It never reaches our servers or anyone else's - which is the whole reason this exists as a browser tool rather than an upload form.
Does one cover work for all the sizes?+
Yes, and that's the point. A cover is stored against the photo itself, not against the card - so when Instagram's 4:5 and a 9:16 story crop different parts of the shot, the cover stays on the same part of you in both. If a crop cuts a covered area away entirely, the tool tells you so you can check that size before posting.
Will this get my post past Instagram's rules?+
It gives you the crops and the covering; it can't promise a platform's moderation outcome, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing. Solid bars are the most conservative option, blur the least. Read the rules for the platform you're posting to - they change, and they differ per subreddit.
Which sizes do I get?+
Instagram post (4:5), Instagram square, story/Reel (9:16), Reddit (4:3) and X (16:9). Tick the ones you want and they come down as a single ZIP - a run of separate downloads is what browsers block after the first.
What about the full-resolution original?+
Untouched. This writes new files at each platform's size and never modifies the photo you picked.
